How to get more information

Fibromyalgia Action UK (FMA UK) is a registered charity in the UK run primarily by unpaid volunteers. The majority of volunteers are also people who have fibromyalgia. They work extremely hard, despite their condition, in order to forward the cause of fibromyalgia. FMA UK was established in order to provide information and support to sufferers and their families. In addition, the association provides medical information for professionals and operates a national helpline.

FMA UK operates as a signpost to information and resource for people who are affected by fibromyalgia. From their initial beginnings they have seen the range of services and resources increase. What they offer is closely tied to the level of donations they receive and other funding sources.

Have a Medical Pack sent to your GP

If your Medical Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Medical Professionals Pack is sent out to them. FMA UK will need the name of the Medical Professional and the address of their practice. They will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from FMA UK to the surgery.

These medical packs have been produced by the FMA UK Medical Advisory Board and contain fully referenced information in the level of detail that doctors will appreciate. While this is aimed at doctors with their terminology, there is also a patients booklet as well.
